Schedule, Schmedule

We have been trying to get Max into his nightclothes before he falls asleep. He was being so good last night that we forgot! First, we played lots of fun look-at-my-hand games.

Then Mommy held him while we relaxed, and Max fell deep asleep. We love his sweet sleeping-on-my-parents face!

When we tip-toed into Max's room to change his clothes, he woke right up and was ready to play! Fortunately, he was asleep for the night (well, for a couple of hours) about 20 minutes after this picture was taken. I guess following a routine the rest of the time is starting to pay off...

We took Max swimming at an indoor pool this weekend. He had a great time - ha! Mommy and Daddy had fun showing Max the pool. Here are some cute pics from the pool and a sweet one of Max dressed up!

Bouncy seat, part 3

You may remember some really early pictures of Max in his bouncy seat. He was not a huge fan! Now that he's a lot bigger, he really enjoys it. He especially likes to watch the red thing swing around when he bounces. Yay for seeing his toys, and yay for them being fun!

Round-and-round, Round-and-round

Max gets confused sometimes when we try to video him - he can't decide if he should look at the camera or keep doing what he is doing. You don't get the full-blown-fascination-for-30-minutes effect here, but you do see some of Max's complete fascination with watching the fan go round-and-round!

Caught you cooing!

Max finally cooed on camera! You'll need to turn it up to hear him around the 35-second mark. Unfortunately, you have to listen to Mommy sound silly in order to get him to do it for a while first. Oh well, enjoy!

Sweet Dreams, Sweet Sleepyhead

We've been practicing taking naps in the pack 'n' play in Max's room so he'll be ready when his crib gets here. He seems to be taking to it wonderfully so far. Here's hoping he keeps it up!

lunch break

Miss Lucy had to run to the bank, so Mommy and Max had a lunch date today. Here he is right after he woke up to play: And when he realized how much FUN we were going to have!

Glamour Shots

The missing camera prevented us from doing the 'I'm 2 Months Old' picture, so Max and Mommy played Glamour Shots yesterday to make up for it. We got some REALLY cute pics!

Tummy time ROCKS!

Max loves tummy time - NOT! But he's willing to tolerate it, and we're willing to make him keep doing it so he can build some upper body strength. Love some of the faces he makes in these videos! His backside wiggles, but we're missing the arm concept...

General Adorableness

T pointed out this morning that in the latest videos, Max seems much more like a real person. Here are a couple of videos of alert Max looking around. The first is kind of long, but I think it is super-cute! Note how he holds his pointer finger at the start of this short video. He's taken to pointing a lot these days. Not that he knows he is doing it, of course, but it can make him look very professorial!

So THAT's why they keep putting me on this mat!

Max has discovered the world around him in the last couple of days. He can see ceiling fans and finds them even more intriguing than lights. He also discovered the octopus and seahorse that hang from his playland. We're still working to capture his amazement when looking at fans, but in the meantime, here he is discovering the octopus:

Sorry it's been so long - we've been caught up in the move and time has flown since our last post! The camera is MIA, but I hope to find it soon. We'll share more pics of Max then.
