First Haircut

We checked the last baby milestone off of Evelyn's list before Ian's retirement festivities: she got her first haircut ever!  She was THRILLED to experience the salon and very pleased with the results.

I failed to get pictures of the pink pancakes and heart shaped bacon. Or the valentine making. Or even the heart dress Evelyn is wearing. But we did get a picture of the best two valentines we could ask for!

We seem to have hit a light bulb moment and found Evelyn reading on her own several times this weekend. Readers are leaders!

Evelyn and Ellerine were delighted with each other this morning, while Max rode herd over the Cherubs.

Rite of passage

Today we learned the joy of Super Bowl food. Veggie tray followed by pigs in a blanket, queso, guacamole, and a Rams cake. Woo!

Growing

We had zero interest in "babyish" story time but were intrigued by the way gears interact with each other for quite a while. It's interesting to see how the kids approach museums evolving.

We really enjoyed touring Alexandria Police Headquarters this morning with the Daisy troop and Max's old cub scout troop.  The K-9, cars, and CSI were highlights.  And Max and Ben had a great time being reunited!
