Girl Scout Day at the Nats

The troop enjoyed a misty, overcast and cool trip to Nats park for the final game of the season. Nats won, as did this group of sweet girls finding each other as friends.

Make that the JONAS BROTHERS. Max and Luke enjoyed discovering who the Jonas Brothers are and what concert-going is like at Saturday night's show at the Capitol One Arena. Thankful for friends with boxes and willingness to share!

6th grade cotillion started this weekend with a great group of friends and an equal number of boys and girls in the class. All the dances this year are themed with Taylor Swift songs - so fun!

Max and Ian cooked an amazing dinner with salmon, mashed potatoes and green beans, plus blackberries for dessert. Delicious!

The Bobcats celebrated the last day of the first full week of school with a Fun Friday. Cookies, time with friends, and a perfect fall day. What a welcome back to school!

First Day, Part Deux

With Max out the door before 6a last Wednesday, today was the first REAL day of school. Here's hoping for a year of fun, learning, friends, and growth. Hard to believe we've got two middle schoolers!

Evelyn was excited to head off for the 6th grade back-to-school overnight. Here's hoping it's a great trip!

 

First Day Sweets

B&R to celebrate a 103-degree day and very successful first day of middle school. Hooray!

 

Well THAT happened fast.

Max was not excited to be awakened at 5:15 for a 6a bus leaving school for the 8th grade overnight. He WAS excited to see his friends (all of whom are now giants) and get the gang back together for one last year as Bobcats!

Evelyn still thought it was absurd to wake up at 6:45, but was also thrilled to get out the door, back to her friends, and off to a new Bobcat year.

It's great to be Bobcats! I can't believe my babies are both in middle school, that Max is in his last year at ACDS, and that we're back at it for the new year. Hope they both make some A's today!
