Another busy Sunday

We went to church again, where Max got glowing reviews from the nursery staff for being such a sweet baby. He seems to really like being around the other kids, and the staff are so sweet that it is fun to take him! When we came home, Max took a short nap and then wanted to play allllllll afternoon. He had lots of fun. I like this one because the way the coloring turned out, it looks like a picture from when we were little: Lots of fun to be had in the Jumperoo:

Taking some time out to enjoy the taste of fingers:

Too cute!

This morning, Max has been playing and being precious. Here are some fun pics of him:

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a busy Thanksgiving day! First, Max got up and played with Daddy for a while.
Then it was time to play with our toys:
Then we got dressed for our morning...
...and headed downtown to take a walk, enjoy the pretty weather and watch ASU's homecoming parade. On the way there, Max became a backpack:
During the parade, he switched to the front. He really liked to watch the marching bands!
We forgot to take a family picture before dinner at our friends' house, so trust us that he looked precious in his turkey longall and that much fun was had by all!

What a weekend!

It was 72 and sunny here both days this weekend. We took full advantage and had lots of fun! We started Saturday with a breakfast of Banana flavored Star Friends:
Not too impressed:
Then it was into the Jumperoo for some fun. He LOVES that thing! He stayed in it the whole time we had breakfast (Ian made omelettes and bacon - yummy!) and did the dishes and was still playing happily:
Starting to wonder why I'm always waving the silver thing in front of him:
Then it was time to play on the underwater playland. Note the completely independent sitting. He's good for about 10 minutes now. And then ker-plunk, SCREAM!
He remains completely intrigued by the strange noises the animal ball-box makes:
Ah, the obligatory 'lie here and smile so I can show everybody what amazingly great taste your mother has' series:
Maggi gave Max a ring tower at his shower in Houston. We got it out this weekend and Max was instantly intrigued. It's a new favorite:
Shockingly, he wanted to eat it. Totally shocked.
Then the three of us ran up to the base to take a long walk around the river and the golf course. It was beautiful!
The series of Ian changing Max in odd places continues. Overlooking the 13th fairway:
Mommy's boys:
On the last half of the walk, Daddy and Max walked together fo
We stopped by a really, really low fence to let Max stand up for a bit:
Almost back to the car:
Sunday morning, we got up and went to church. Max did great in the nursery!
Then we came home and played a LOT!
Desperate to eat the entire thing:
Well, there's one approach
All in all, it was a great weekend and reminded us of how much we have to be thankful for heading into Thanksgiving week!

More turkeys!

Max is getting ready for Thanksgiving. He's pretty excited about it... This is the 1,000th picture we've taken of Max since we got a new camera in June:

chilly

Max and Miss Lucy go on walks most mornings with their friends Duncan and Miss Vicky. They missed walking yesterday because it was pouring down rain, and both boys were grumpy after they were stuck in the house all day! This morning, Max and Miss Lucy bundled up for the post-rain cold and headed off on an adventure. Thanks, Muti, for the bear jacket. It is so sweet!

Jump Around, Jump Around

Max likes to play in his Jumperoo. He'll stay in it for up to 45 minutes at a time while Mommy and Daddy get chores done around the house. We'd rather play in the jumperoo than do chores, too!
You can see his little brain working in this one:
