Build A Bear

Evelyn was thrilled to receive a Build-A-Bear gift card for Christmas.  She picked out Teddy, who has an outfit, sweater, headband, PJs, robe, and 2 pair of shoes.  She also generously shared some of her money with Max, who picked a Chewbaca of his own.  They both had a lot of fun building their new friends, and have loved on them since they got to their new home!

Haircut #2

Evelyn was excited to return to the Hair Cuttery for lifetime haircut #2.  Fresh bounce is in her curls!

Brotherly Love

We took a spontaneous overnight trip to Philadelphia, stopping in Valley Forge on the way.  Lots to explore, hotel happy hour, and a delicious Spanish dinner made for a great getaway!  Evelyn became a Junior Ranger in both Valley Forge and Philadelphia, while Max just went for it at Independence Hall.

Great Emily Baking Show

We've discovered the joy of watching the Great British Baking Show as a family.  We had a couple of special treats for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day: Bouche de Noelle and amaretto souffle.  Both were delicious. 

Aladdin!

We took our now-traditional Christmas afternoon visit to Mount Vernon to see Aladdin the camel and take a long walk around the property.  Beautiful way and place to stretch our legs and enjoy the fresh air on a calm, quiet Christmas day.

Christmas Cheer

I didn't get any pictures of our very busy Christmas Eve - Star Wars movie, tamale party at the Levantos, church, and family dinner.  But we had a wonderful day that led into a relaxed Christmas morning filled with cheer and presents!
