Swinging in the Rain

It was drizzling here for much of the morning, so Max and Lucy were late taking a walk. Instead, Max got in the swing and had a lovely time watching the mobile go around while he rocked. Love the puppy dog bib!

Busy Saturday

Saturday morning, Max and Mommy went for a walk. He was adorable in his sun hat!

When we got home, Mommy built the Precious Planet Jumperoo. It's even more fun to play in it if you use the full Precious Planet Jumperoo name! It has lots of fun toys to poke and ways to bounce. Here are some fun pics of Max's first Jumperoo experience:

Max's first celeb

Lucy and Max take walks most mornings. Last week, they were walking and saw Morris Dees (founder of the Southern Poverty Law Center and the biggest celeb in town) jogging with a security entourage. Lucy came home and asked me about him, and we looked him up online. The next day, Max and Lucy went to the park again. Morris Dees was running and came right up to meet Max and ask Lucy about him. They enjoyed meeting him, and now he is one of the friends they look for in the park on walk mornings. So, we've been here almost 4 years now and the closest we've come to Dees was having him sneeze on Emily in the checkout line at Publix while she was pregnant. Max is here 3.5 months and gets sought out. He's such a cutie, why would we be surprised?!

Chatty Maxy

Max had a LOT to say today. We had just finished a long conversation about school supplies when we started taping this video, so forgive any hilariously funny (to us) references to glue sticks and Trapper Keepers!

(no idea if I spelled that right, but you get the idea). We took lots of pictures today because Max was in a GREAT mood and ready to be a fantastic model. Here are a few of the images we took:

Splashing Around!

Max is a splashing addict in the tub now. He thinks it is SO much fun. He is definitely camera shy, so we got a relatively weak example. Imagine his whole-body splashes like you'll see here going on for 15+ seconds at a time. Super-cute and super-splashy - he got us wet tonight too!

Max had a great bath tonight. We thought he was adorable in his monster towel and wanted to share it with his fans! You be the judge - monster or dragon?

Discovering our toys!

Max had lots of fun yesterday playing with his toys! He held two rings at the same time for a long time and tried hard to fit them both in his mouth with his fist. Then he discovered Star Friend. He had LOTS of fun crinkling Star Friend and sucking on the various fabrics!

Some like it hot...

...others like it cold. Max checked out cold weather for the first time on our trip to San Francisco this weekend! More pics to come, but here are some pics of Max's first outing into the cold at the Marin Headlands. We took a chilly Friday morning walk on the beach.

Bath Time Sweetness

Max really does like bathtime now that he is a little bigger. He and Daddy splash and play - and go MUCH slower than they used to!

Waiting on Mommy...

Max hangs out on his lounger in the bathroom while Mommy takes her showers in the morning. He was so cute that Daddy had to get some pictures of sweet morning Max!

He may not exactly love it...

...but he's willing to put up with it better this way! We've switched tummy time to playing-on-the-Boppy time. Still not a well-loved activity, but Max seems to be taking to it a little bit better now.

Copycats

Mommy isnt the only one teaching Max new tricks! Max and Daddy played copycat Saturday morning. They had lots of fun!

Rock a bye baby, in the lamb swing

Max made friends with a 3 and 5 year old this weekend. They enjoyed trying to force Max to play with his toys. That didn't always work, but they had a good time swinging his swing!

Splish Splash Max is Taking a Bath!

Max finally learned that bathtime is funtime! He kicks and squirms and makes lots of splashes. Whoohoo!

Lullaby, and goodnight

Max and Mommy spend a LOT of time rocking and singing when it is time for bed. Here's a typical night for us. If Max has bad taste in music later, blame his childhood - his mother can't sing!

General Cuteness

I can't find the photo to re-upload, but go back and check out the picture of Max next to the 'I'm 1 Month Old' sign, and then look at this one. What a difference 61 days makes! There was a big rain storm yesterday afternoon, and Max was fascinated. He enjoyed playing on his mat and watching the raindrops hit the skylights.

3 Months Old and a New Trick to Boot!

Max is three months old today, can you believe it?! It is amazing to see how much he has changed.

Max's rattles have been in hiding since we moved, and we got them out over the weekend. Max learned to hold them and has been exploring the rings ever since. This morning, he even picked up one of his rings after he dropped it. Serious progress! Max seems very happy with himself, and has been trying to grab everything - even Mom and Dad's noses, mouths and chins!
