A sunny, crisp morning called for a family dog walk/scootering before virtual school.  Beautiful day to be out and about.

We celebrated Mardi Gras with pancakes for breakfast, gumbo & dirty rice for dinner, and homemade king cake for dessert.  Mom is the Mardi Gras Queen (she found the pretzel-instead-of-a-baby-cause-that-seems-weird in her cake slice).  Party on, Bryans!

We took an art class together and then did spa day masks to celebrate Galentines Day.

 

Valentines

We started the day with Valentines presents and a family trip to McDonald's for breakfast, with lots of fun people watching in the parking lot.  It was then home to walk Piper and check in with the Siglers before an afternoon of relaxing.

 

Air Evelyn

Evelyn has been loving the basketball unit in PE, and begged for a basketball of her own.  It arrived this morning, and she had Ian out shooting hoops by 10 o'clock.  She's got some moves!

 

We were ready for some football

We enjoyed a feast for kings (started with veggies before going to wings, jalapeno poppers, pigs in blankets, chips and queso, and - of course - birthday cake for Piper) while watching a blow out of a game.  Max made it up through the whole thing, and Evelyn made it to halftime.  Lots of fun celebrating Super Bowl 55 - even if the logo kept tricking us into thinking it was 54 :)

 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIPER!

Evelyn has been planning Piper's 1-year celebration for a month.  We had cake, a commemorative trip to Taco Bell, crate decorating, dog cake, singing, long walks, and "Piper time" to tell stories about her adoption and first year.  All in all, it was a great celebration of Piper and a wonderful day to reflect on how much joy she brings to us.
