Evelyn upcycled all over the house, while Max lounged, chatted with friends, and read before Reds winter workouts. Busy bees, 1 and 2!

Double Digits, Double the Fun
The girls got wild and crazy at Meghan's spa birthday party. Facials, manis, pedis and a runway show - oh my!

Plate Tectonics
Fun with graham crackers and icing at the end of the plate tectonics unit. Science is fun. And tasty!

Conference Time
The kids got rave reviews at their conferences for being bright, engaged students with well-developed senses of humor. They were both identified as leaders among their peers and people the teachers can count on to lead a project to completion or to chime in when noone else is willing. Go Bryan Bobcats!
I just want to read with you
While Max slept over at the Burnett's, Evelyn enjoyed a special movie night, read-in, and sleepover with Mom and Dad!
Day Off, Day Out
School is closed for parent-teacher conferences, so the Maxes headed to ice skate after a sleepover while Evelyn and I escorted Piper to her annual check-up.

Engineering for Good
Max completed his Engineer for Good project - a battery-powered alternative to light and run fans in a home without access to reliable power - and brought it in to present this morning. 6th grade science is pretty fun!

Chef's Kiss
Max made toasted ravioli, homemade marinara dipping sauce, and chili cheese fries (from scratch - even the fries!) for dinner, followed by banana chocolate shakes for dessert. It was all delicious - we are grateful to his Secret Santa for gifting him the ballpark cookbook! He also whipped up a strawberry lemonade cocktail for Conrad and himself Saturday afternoon. Not to be outdone, Mom made delicious homemade pretzels for a cold weather baking day project. Delicious all around!

The glow of a new semester
The Bobcats are back today for a couple of days of virtual learning before we get back to the classroom. The LED lights the kids got for Christmas add the perfect Je ne sais quois to the virtual classroom.

Snow Day Staycation
We woke up to a 47 degree house and decided it was worth the splurge to stay-cay somewhere with some heat. So off we went to the Embassy Suites Old Town for dog snuggles, cable TV, lunch, and a walk to Hooray for Books for new reads before grabbing cocoa and cookies for an afternoon read-in. Lemonade officially made from the frozen lemons of this storm!
