She's turning double digits
Jenesis, Abby and Emilie joined Evelyn for a mid-week birthday extravaganza. The girls played, watched movies, had &pizza and cake, and stayed up late. They were much more subdued - but still pretty wild! - at breakfast this morning. Now they're off to art camp for the day, bless their counselors' hearts.

...is that you find someone who looks at you the way Evelyn looks at a Guapo's guacamole. Fun family night out for Mexican food to celebrate the kids' first all-day home-alone experience. Success!
Notes from Camp Grenada
Evelyn very practically decided that she would beat any letters she wrote home, so she didn't mail them - just kept them in her notebook until we were putting away camp gear for next year. Sounds like she had fun!

Carrot cake is the best cake
Evelyn whipped up a from-scratch carrot cake, including shredding her own carrots. It was AMAZINGLY delicious.
