Happy Halloween!

Max is a monkey for his first Halloween. He is so cute! We had a Halloween party Saturday and will go trick-or-treating on Sunday. Yay for free candy for Mom and Dad :)

Max's First Party

Max was invited to a Halloween party at one of Mommy's bunko friends's house. He was nice enough to invite us to come with him. Max was the cutest monkey at the party! Checking out the tombstones Looking at the big kids playing

Just kidding - Max the Monkey!

Max met Beckett, who was born in August. Beckett's mom is also in the bunko group.
Parties are hard work! Max was asleep before we were a half mile down the road!

More Pumpkin Fun

This afternoon, Max re-discovered the baby pumpkin we brought home from the pumpkin patch. He was very excited to explore it!
Max is becoming very alert. He whipped his head around to see what the noise was when Daddy pulled into the driveway after work!

Six-month photos

As unbelievable as it seems, we had Max's six-month photo session on Friday. He was a trooper and did a great job with it! The photographer posted our sneak peak this afternoon, and we wanted to share it with you. Enjoy! http://suzannewilliamsphotography.com/blog/?p=903

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Clanton on Saturday. We rode the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch and picked the perfect Max-sized pumpkin. It was about 8,000 degrees outside, so we had to pretend it was fall out! Max on the hayride: That pumpkin is too big! That one is more Max-sized
Why, look at all the other pumpkins out there

Pretty Fall Playtime

Max spent a bunch of time outside in the afternoon last weekend. Here are some pics of his adorableness!
He enjoyed playing with Star Friend and our newest addition to the toy lineup, Mr. Spoon. Max likes to pretend he is eating and gnaw on the spoon.
And of course, he spent some time just lounging around on the patio sofa.

So much to see and do!

Check out how good Max is at playing with some of the toys in the Jumperoo now. He can switch activities without having to stop and figure out exactly what it is he is looking at again each time - major personal growth!

Jumperoo fun

It's been a while since we made a movie about Max. He was so cute in the Jumperoo this morning that we just couldn't resist!

Check out the fabulous jumping skills he's developed in the last couple of weeks. Amazing!

Sweet Sleeper

Two Peas in a Pod

We came home from the Zoo and told Daddy all about our adventures. Then Max and Daddy played silly games for a little bit. Eating our arms is fun!
Note the striking resemblance...

Zoo!

(These pictures are in reverse-order of our trip) On the way out, we saw the flamingos standing on one leg. When I turned to pick Max up to look, he was being a flamingo and using one leg, too!
He was very interested in the waterfalls that ran in front of the river otter exhibit.
Checking out the lazy lions.
" Oh Mommy," says Max. "The Zoo is so fun!"
We got Sophie out to play, and Max wasn't sure why.
Then we looked in the field and saw a real, live Sophie!
Clearly, he was not intimidated by the giant Sophies standing just feet away. But we did spend a lot of time holding Sophie up next to the REAL Sophies and trying to see if they were similar. If it didn't wow Max, at least it was highly entertaining to the people eating lunch at the Overlook Cafe right behind us.
We saw a momma chimpanzee swinging around and around with her baby hanging on tight. You can't see her in the picture, but pretend you can and this is us doing a similar thing.
The first thing we saw that was neat-o was the rhino. He reminded us of our book Hippo, No Rhino! He lived right next door to the elephants. The elephants have a baby elephant. You can sort of see him on the far left side of the picture, but not really.

Tummy Sleeper

Max slept late this morning, and when we went in to get him up, he was flat on his tummy with his bottom sticking up in the air. It was so cute! We are hopeful that now that he can tummy sleep (when he does it on his own - we'll still put him down on his back for the first year) he will continue to sleep later...
