In an unexpected twist to Max's 13th birthday, Ian scored tickets for all four of us to go BOWLING at the WHITE HOUSE. It was a fantastic experience, from getting to enter the complex through the staff gate to stopping by the entrance to the West Wing to making ourselves at home in the Truman Bowling Alley. We enjoyed our snacks, shared some 13th anniversary candy bars with Ian's team, and the whole group serenaded Max with Happy Birthday just before his final bowl. It was a memorable way to kick off the teen years!
