We all got in the car at 7a to drive to Camp Horizons to pick up Max. He had an amazing time and is already planning to head back next summer. He came home for lunch and then headed out to a VERY hot practice for Cooperstown - the head index was 110 and the car said 101. Yikes! While he and Mom sweltered, Dad and Evelyn headed to the ice rink to keep cool and show off their skills. Glad they were cool - the power went out about an hour after we got home, and it was HOT. We quickly headed out for a Max-selected Japanese dinner at a great ramen restaurant, and extended the fun (and the a/c) with a visit to the Barbie movie. We came home to a hot, dark house and piled into the basement for sleep. The power was back on by 2:10a. What a looooooong day!
