Sunday morning, we got to the cruise terminal in Venice to be bussed to Trieste for our departure. Ian and I enjoyed the drive through the Italian countryside, while the kids caught up on some much-needed sleep.
We arrived on the boat to find balloons and flowers waiting to celebrate Evelyn's birthday from Steve & Tricia.
As soon as we were through the safety drills, we hit the pool for some R&R.
Then we changed for embarkation, grabbed some drinks, and enjoyed our first sunset and sailaway.
Evelyn is an avid ping-pong player and kept us all improving the whole cruise. She also took up food photography for a potential future blog project, Evelyn Eats.
