We woke up at the industrial port in Venice, sad to see our journey come to an end.
We had one last Lido breakfast on the back deck.
Then we hung out in the Venice airport for a couple of hours, where we accidentally left the EU and then had to be re-admitted. Whoops!
A brief rest in Paris, where we went through a strange boarding process involving standing in a cylinder with no air conditioning for an extended period before being bussed across the airport to a strange runway and walking out to walk up to the plane across the tarmac.
Then it was up, up, and AWAY! Back to the States we go.
We were worn out but ready to be home when we got back.
But seeing Piper gave us all a second wind to get through the night!
